Atlanta Falcons Best Players in 2012: #10 Tyson Clabo

Listmania has been running a little wild around the NFL lately so I figured it was time for us to get into the action. We put our collective heads together and have come up with the top ten players on the Atlanta Falcons roster according to the Grits Blitz Blog. Number ten is actually somebody that we featured earlier this year in our “Favorite Falcons” series.

Clabo preparing to bring some pain to the Bucs

Tyson Clabo came to the Atlanta Falcons out of Wake Forest but he had a stop at Denver and with the NY Giants before finding a home here in the ATL. Clabo made his way to the Falcons in 2005 as a member of the practice squad and then found success in 2006. Since 2006, he’s started 86 games for the Falcons and has been a workhorse over the last four years. Here is what some of the guys had to say about him:

Eric: the fangs of our offensive line. The Falcons don’t have a lot of guys with a mean streak (one less with Ovie leaving), but Clabo brings that edge that the rest of his mates up front need to have.

Matt: Hands down our best offensive lineman, Clabo is a mauler than has shut down some of the more elite pass-rushers in the league.  He adds a great deal of stability to a problematic offensive line.

Mike: The only brightspot on last year’s o line. Obviously, we drafted with this in mind. Hopefully, the rookies can learn from one of the best RTs in the game.

Zach: Clabo has gone from UDFA to one of the best at his position. Clabo has locked down the RT position during this current era for Atlanta, he’s shut down some of the best pass rushers and has blown up huge holes for Turner to run through. He’s an invaluable player for Atlanta’s OL.
