Falcons News and Links for July 12th

The off-season is still upon us and we've been quite here at Grits Blitz as we gear up for training camp and the pre-season. Some of us have been getting married (I will let you guess who), some have been working (actually that's a lot of us), some of us will be going on vacation (that's me) and others just spend a ton of time on twitter (that's Zach and Eric). Anyway, let's take a look around the Falconverse and see what's been going on.

Waiting for the Ryan Deal to Get Done

It seems like we've been waiting for the Matt Ryan deal to get done forever. Heck, even Matthew Stafford has been re-signed and he hasn't even won a playoff game (that's a Matt Ryan joke there guys!). Aaron over at FalcFans has a good update on the Ryan situation, so head over there and give it a read.

ESPN Likes the Falcons

Hat tip to the Falcoholic on this one but apparently Pat Y of the ESPN South Blog is high on the Falcons. Pat thinks the Falcons have learned from their past mistakes during the Smith/Dimitroff regime and he likes the approach the Falcons are taking to the season. Who am I to argue with the man?

Who's In Charge

NFL.com's Albert Breer put together a pretty comprehensive piece on the power structure of all 32 NFL teams. Here is the link to the NFC South.
