Forced to step into the role of #1 receiver with the injuries to Julio Jones and Roddy White, Harry Douglas had a career day against the Tampa Buccaneers. In his sixth NFL season, Douglas's best performance coming into Sunday's game was a 8 catch, 133 yard performance against the New Orleans Saints in a 2011 overtime loss.
On Sunday, Douglas caught seven passes for 149 yards and 1 TD. What might be more impressive is that, according to ESPN's stats, he caught all 7 passes that Matt Ryan targeted him for. Douglas had six catches for 140 yards in the first half and if the Falcons defense could have gotten off the field in the second half he could have had a lot more. Douglas had a big game and it came at the right time with Ryan in desperate need of a primary receiver.
